Poker content creator Frank "Frankie" Cucchiara had an eventful summer in Las Vegas that saw him running deep in World Series of Poker (WSOP) events and batting in big pots worth thousands of dollars in cash games across the Strip.
The highs of the summer for Cucchiara, a PokerStars ambassador and member of the NextGen Poker crew, included a $7,000 cash game win and a run at a WSOP bracelet, while the lows included runner-runner bad beats and a $13,000 downswing.
Take a look at some of the highlights from Cucchiara's summer in Las Vegas that were captured by PokerNews.
How Much Did the WSOP Rake from Bracelets?
Winning in Cash
Ahead of the series, Cucchiara challenged himself to make $100,000 in 100 days, noting that he'd do that "by playing cash and using the profit in the cash games to play a tournament and hope for one big spin-up.
Unfortunately, Cucchiara had no luck in the $800 event and the $1,000 Mystery Millions. Still, he found himself up $8,000 16 days into his WSOP run.
Can Frankie Turn Things Around?
Not long after, Cucchiara was in poor spirits after a rough cash game session.
He tried to turn things around by playing in an online WSOP event and managed to get it in versus top pair versus two under. Unfortunately, it just wasn't Cucchiara's day and the opponent made a runner-runner two pair to take down the pot.
"Start Thinking About Our Family More"
In his next update, Cucchiara told viewers that "everything I do this summer is fueled by my cash game winnings."
"I came back to Vegas from Asia, I played one private game and I won almost $7,000," he said.
Cucchiara also said that his wife, Kitty Kuo, told him she wanted him to play cash and "start thinking about our family more," saying that their son "wants you to play cash games only."
Still, Cucchiara couldn't stay away from tournaments and busted out of another WSOP event before booking a cash game win at Resorts World worth $1,495.
Making a Day 2
Cucchiara finally turned things around in what he called "the best day of my entire summer" where he made Day 2 of an $800 event.
Down to one big blind, Cucchiara was able to quintuple up and ultimately finished 83rd to secure a cash of $3,646. After that, he headed to Resorts World to play content creator game where he finished up $3,150.
Big Slick Doesn't Hold
In a mystery bounty tournament at Wynn Las Vegas, Cucchiara got into an interesting spot due to his table image.
"For some reason, whether it was my camera or just the way I was talking at the table, they thought I was a maniac."
As a result of this dynamic, and opponent four-bet jammed a with ten-nine offsuit and Cucchiara called with ace-king. The opponent's loose play was awarded as he flopped two-pair to bust Cucchiara within 30 minutes of sitting down.
Sharp Downswing
A sharp downswing was awaiting Cucchiara as he played a Resorts World cash game that saw him losing a $2,000 pot before running kings into aces. At the end of the night, Cucchiara was down $5,000.
The next night, Cucchiara was $2,000 to go from $16,000 in profit to $3,000 after an eight-day losing streak.

Cashing With Corey
Cucchiara decided to try to turn his summer around in the WSOP Tag Team event with fellow poker vlogger Corey Eyring. Eyring played a few orbits before Cucchiara led the team to get "heaps" with 400 left.
Eyring took over from there and the two were able to get a 177th place worth $2,202.
Main Event Run
After cashing in last year's Main Event for a career-best $50,900, the pressure was on for Cucchiara to make another deep run.
Cucchiara made it through several days of Main Event action but was ultimately eliminated ahead of the money on Day 3.
PokerNews Podcast Appearance
Despite his busy summer playing both tournaments and cash, Cucchiara made time to appear as a co-host on the PokerNewsPodcast at Level Nine Studios in Las Vegas, where he talked about baby run good, marked cards drama and more.
